Temporary Items at http://tmp.i.am/

How to remove icons from the windows desktop, even the ones (like the "Network Neighborhood" icon) that Microsoft apparently doesn't want you to remove.

Note: I haven't tried this myself.

New signs for Wilder:

The folks at ActiveState wrote a paper about making a version of Python that works in .NET. The paper CRASHes MS Word, on some Windows 2K boxes, and an MS Word in Office 2001 on Mac OS 9.2.1.

And their conclusion is?

There is, however, still significant work required to make Python truly useful on the .NET platform. We look forward to working with Microsoft to allow even tighter integration, and expect that future versions of Python will become an excellent choice for many developers working with .NET.

Here (DeathPaper.html) is a relatively safer HTML version of it that you might try reading.

Map to the Mountain Bike Summit at 300 Estudillo Avenue in San Leandro. One way there: Take 880 to the Davis exit and go east...

About my "tmp" site: I put a document or image up on the web somewhere, probably in my gems/ or stories/ folder, and here I put a link to it. That way, I can send people a short URL (namely, http://tmp.i.am) that will work only until I put up a different temp item.
